The Program

During your 5-day stay with us you will learn many tools that will help you be successful in the future. The listed modalities below may or may not be used for each individual person. All depends on the situation and we work with each client to best address their needs.

The program starts on Sunday between 3-4pm. The first night will consist of an opening session and dinner. Monday-Wednesday will be full days of intensive work. The last day on Thursday will be a half day and will have a closing session around noon.

What to Bring?

  • Casual attire, modest bathing suit, workout clothing, pajamas
  • Light Jacket, closed-toed shoes and hat for outdoor activities
  • Personal hygiene items
  • Approved prescription medication
OUR MODALITIES INCLUDE:

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy between a client and a clinician to help them learn healthy habits and get to a place of healing. All clients will be provided with the therapeutic means that are most appropriate for their personal situations, all while maintaining the goal of recovery.

Group Sessions

Therapy between a group of people and a clinician working together. Group members can share their experiences and their strength which will help boost confidence and self esteem. The group setting is a great place to practice new behaviors learned from treatment.

Psychodrama

A type of treatment where patients act out events that have happened to them. Patients use role playing, self-presentation and dramatization to explore and gain insight into their lives. This helps them understand what has happened to them and why they feel the way that they do.

Breathwork

Therapeutic methods of using your breath to change a person’s mental, emotional, and or physical state. Each type of breathwork therapy can utilize different techniques such as talk therapy, breathing exercises, art, music and bodywork.

Mindfulness

This is used as a therapeutic technique by maintaining a state of mind and awareness of our thoughts, body sensations and environment. By obtaining this we can focus on the present moment and focus less on the past or future.

Meditation

This is used as a therapeutic technique by maintaining a state of mind and awareness of our thoughts, body sensations and environment. By obtaining this we can focus on the present moment and focus less on the past or future.

Yoga Nidra

Also known as “yogic sleep” it is a technique used to gain total relaxation by obtaining control over the relaxation response. The idea behind it is to instill total physical, mental and emotional relaxation. It has been known to be just as restorative as 4 hour of regular sleep.

Equine Therapy

Equine therapy or “horse therapy” is a specific type of therapy which involves interactions between clients and horses. This type of therapy involves activities such as feeding, grooming, haltering and leading a horse often with the help of an equine professional.

Recreational Activities

Type of treatment services that include activities such as arts, crafts, games, nature hikes, dance and movement, drama and other community outings. This helps address the needs of every individual and allows them to engage in different types of activities that will help with their treatment.

Experiential Action Methods

Therapy that uses movements, action and other activities instead of traditional talk therapy.  Examples of some of the activities used include role playing, guided imagery, the use of props. The different types of action methods are equine, expressive arts, music, wilderness and adventure.

Sleep Hygiene

The promotion of better quality sleep using a variety of different practices and habits. Obtaining quality, healthy sleep habits are important for our physical and mental well-being. Every person can benefit from learning about healthy sleep habits.
